Dr. Joshua Bulger
I thank my God in all my remembrance of you. In every prayer of mine I always make my entreaty and petition for you all with joy (delight). [I thank my God] for your fellowship (your sympathetic cooperation and contributions and partnership) in advancing the good news (the Gospel) from the first day [you heard it] until now. And I am convinced and sure of this very thing, that He Who began a good work in you will continue until the day of Jesus Christ [right up to the time of His return], developing [that good work] and perfecting and bringing it to full completion in you. It is right and appropriate for me to have this confidence and feel this way about you all, because you have me in your heart and I hold you in my heart as partakers and sharers, one and all with me, of grace (God's unmerited favor and spiritual blessing). [This is true] both when I am shut up in prison and when I am out in the defense and confirmation of the good news (the Gospel). (Philippians 1:3-7 AMP)
Stick with that which God has called you to link up with.
These people were Paul's partners: they held a special place.
"We have you in our hearts."
People who believe in you, you cannot love enough.
It takes partners to make great things happen.
These people were very special and close to his heart and he wanted them to experience the same things in their lives because they were his partners. -special graces
Supernatural Influence- comes through covenant relationships.
Partnership creates supernatural influence. = this is a spiritual law
Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them. And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away. (Acts 13:1-3 KJV)
"Sent ones" = became Apostles
They promoted in rank.
The laying on of hands activated the calling/anointing.
Impartation: convey, give, spread, transfer, transfuse, transmit, to bestow on another a share or portion of something.
There are Divine Connections & Divine Appointments that God has ordained for you to encounter and benefit from.
My wife, and I, have had Dr. Jerry Savelle, Kenneth Copeland, Jesse Duplantis, Dr. Creflo Dollar, Leroy Thompson, John Avanzini, Dr. Ed Dufresne, Dr. Mark Barclay, Bill Winston, Tracy Harris, etc.... Lay hands on us, prophecy over us, and release supernatural impartations into our lives, family, and ministry.
Moses was a hundred and twenty years old when he died, yet his eyes were not weak nor his strength gone. The Israelites grieved for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days, until the time of weeping and mourning was over. Now Joshua son of Nun was filled with the spirit of wisdom because Moses had laid his hands on him. So the Israelites listened to him and did what the Lord had commanded Moses. (Deuteronomy 34:7-9 NIV)
Now after the death of Moses the servant of the Lord it came to pass, that the Lord spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses' minister, saying, (Joshua 1:1 KJV)
EXAMPLE: Elijah & Elisha = had a close association
1 Kings 19:19 (KJV)So he departed thence, and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, who [was] plowing [with] twelve yoke [of oxen] before him, and he with the twelfth: and Elijah passed by him, and cast his mantle upon him.
2 Kings 2:14 (KJV)And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where [is] the LORD God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over.
But Jehoshaphat asked, “Is there no prophet of the Lord here, through whom we may inquire of the Lord?” An officer of the king of Israel answered, “Elisha son of Shaphat is here. He used to pour water on the hands of Elijah. ” Jehoshaphat said, “The word of the Lord is with him.” So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat and the king of Edom went down to him. (2 Kings 3:11-12 NIV)
EXAMPLE: Jesus & His disciples = gave them power over every devil and every sickness and disease.
Matthew 10:1 (KJV) And when he had called unto [him] his twelve disciples, he gave them power [against] unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.
EXAMPLE: Paul & Timothy - spiritual son/young minister
2 Timothy 1:2 (KJV) To Timothy, [my] dearly beloved son: Grace, mercy, [and] peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.
Let no one despise or think less of you because of your youth, but be an example (pattern) for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity. Till I come, devote yourself to [public and private] reading, to exhortation (preaching and personal appeals), and to teaching and instilling doctrine. Do not neglect the gift which is in you, [that special inward endowment] which was directly imparted to you [by the Holy Spirit] by prophetic utterance when the elders laid their hands upon you [at your ordination]. (1 Timothy 4:12-14 AMP)
I am reminded of your sincere faith, which first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice and, I am persuaded, now lives in you also. For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. (2 Timothy 1:5-7 NIV)
But I hope and trust in the Lord Jesus soon to send Timothy to you, so that I may also be encouraged and cheered by learning news of you. For I have no one like him [no one of so kindred a spirit] who will be so genuinely interested in your welfare and devoted to your interests. For the others all seek [to advance] their own interests, not those of Jesus Christ (the Messiah). But Timothy's tested worth you know, how as a son with his father he has toiled with me zealously in [serving and helping to advance] the good news (the Gospel). (Philippians 2:19-22 AMP)
Some people are not after impartation, they are opportunists.
EXAMPLE: Elisha received the mantle and impartation of Elijah. Who should have received the mantle & impartation of Elisha? Who was Elisha's servant? = Gehazi
2 Kings 8:4 (KJV) And the king talked with Gehazi the servant of the man of God, saying, Tell me, I pray thee, all the great things that Elisha hath done.
2 Kings 4:27 (KJV) And when she came to the man of God to the hill, she caught him by the feet: but Gehazi came near to thrust her away. And the man of God said, Let her alone; for her soul [is] vexed within her: and the LORD hath hid [it] from me, and hath not told me.
Gehazi was his servant and armor bearer.
THE STORY OF NAAMAN WHO WAS HEALED OF LEPROSY- Then Naaman returned to the man of God, he and all his company, and stood before him. He said, Behold, now I know that there is no God in all the earth but in Israel. So now accept a gift from your servant. Elisha said, As the Lord lives, before Whom I stand, I will accept none. He urged him to take it, but Elisha refused. (2 Kings 5:15-16 AMP)
You will not always understand why your Pastor or ministry leader, does what they do. You just have to trust in their leadership and perhaps a time will come where they will explain to you why they did what they did.
God doesn't call/join you to a minister or ministry, only as long as you understand everything they are doing.
But Gehazi, the servant of Elisha the man of God, said, Behold, my master spared this Naaman the Syrian, in not receiving from his hands what he brought. But as the Lord lives, I will run after him and get something from him. (2 Kings 5:20 AMP)
He went in and stood before his master. Elisha said, Where have you been, Gehazi? He said, Your servant went nowhere. Elisha said to him, Did not my spirit go with you when the man turned from his chariot to meet you? Was it a time to accept money, garments, olive orchards, vineyards, sheep, oxen, menservants, and maidservants? Therefore the leprosy of Naaman shall cleave to you and to your offspring forever. And Gehazi went from his presence a leper as white as snow. (2 Kings 5:25-27 AMP)
Gehazi received the leprosy because it was in the clothes of Naman when he tried to give them to Elisha.
